Area Harvesting & Marketing Manager
South / South East England

The Manager role requires a self-motivated, professional individual who has an ability to build relationships at all levels and to manage harvesting sites in an operational area. A commercial outlook is required and an ability to work as part of a team, together with experience in timber harvesting. Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are desirable, but above all we are seeking applicants with enthusiasm and the drive to succeed.

Are you an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a commercial outlook who is ready to support this expanding area of our business? If so, we would like you to have the following:

• Degree, HND or equivalent Forestry qualification.
• Demonstrable track record of supervisory experience in the harvesting sector.
• Proven harvesting experience, or forest management background.
• A current UK driving licence.

Harvesting Contracts Supervisor
North Yorkshire

The Contract Supervisor position is an opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a progressive harvesting company and will be fully mentored by an experienced manager. A commercial outlook is required and an ability to work as part of a team, together with experience in timber harvesting. Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are desirable, but above all we are seeking applicants with enthusiasm and the drive to succeed.

Are you an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a commercial outlook who is ready to support this expanding part of our business? If so, we would like you to have the following:

• Land based qualification or relevant practical experience in forestry.
• Timber harvesting experience.
• A current UK driving licence.

Certification and Quality Manager

Euroforest Ltd is the largest independent timber harvesting & marketing company in the UK. We harvest and market in excess of 2.7 million m³ of timber per annum.

Due to growth within the Euroforest Group, we are currently recruiting for a Certification and Quality Manager to support our Compliance Manager in delivery of FSC and ISO certification schemes. The role will work to assist the Compliance team in embedding quality systems and procedures. The role will ensure that the right behaviours in terms of quality and improvement are promoted across the Euroforest Group and that people are sufficiently trained with regards to the management of operational systems, as well as providing feedback and knowledge sharing necessary to drive continuous improvement.

There will also be a requirement to report on performance, setting up and establishing relevant KPIs that help determine how we perform in terms of quality, carbon, H,S & E and assist in identifying areas for improvement. The role will be also supporting the activities of the Euroforest Director with responsibility for compliance. This will ensure that the role will get the right level of support and work in line with the Group / Business requirements and goals.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the importance of quality and improvement, and the wider business benefits of a progressive approach. You will display collaborative behaviours at all times and be able to engage both internally and externally. You will be able to carry out an Internal Auditor role to ISO14001, ISO45001, FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody standards and be prepared to develop an understanding of forest harvesting operations, undertaking site-based quality assurance visits. Where required you will be able to produce high quality reports, create and amend policies and procedures and present information accurately and concisely to the board of directors, managers and contractors.

You must hold strong organisational skills and be able to motivate both yourself and others to ensure we meet our certification requirements and be able to influence with credibility whilst being able to work in a close team environment.
