Harvesting Manager - Perth & Tayside

The Harvesting Manager role requires a self-motivated, professional individual who is able to build relationships at all levels and manage harvesting sites in an operational area.  A commercial outlook and the ability to work as part of a team is required, together with some experience in timber harvesting.  Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are desirable, but above all, we are seeking applicants with enthusiasm and the drive to succeed.

Duties:

·       Organise the harvesting, marketing and sale of timber

·       Liaise with colleagues, clients and landowners

·       Plan and implement programmes of work

·       Prepare costs and financial forecasts

·       Ensure the effective use of resources

·       Supervise other forest workers

·       Be mindful of, and adhere to, Health, Safety & Environmental standards

 

Essential Skills:

·       Experience in timber harvesting

·       A current UK driving licence is required

·       A demonstrable interest in forestry and the harvesting sector
