Mid-Year Student Placement
As one of the UK and Ireland’s leading forestry businesses, Euroforest is committed to delivering exceptional service to forest owners nationwide. We take pride in our dedication to quality, sustainability, and building long-term partnerships that support both people and the planet.

The Position

We’re excited to welcome a Mid-Year Placement Student to join us in Summer 2026. With offices located across the UK, we encourage applications from a wide range of regions. Some travel between sites will be part of the role—so a flexible, can-do attitude is key.

This isn’t a desk job. It’s a hands-on, immersive introduction to the forestry sector, working day-to-day with experienced professionals who are leaders in their field.

This is a paid, fixed-term, 12-month placement designed to help you grow, contribute, and gain real industry experience.

What You’ll Gain

This placement offers a genuinely rewarding experience. You’ll work closely with skilled managers who will provide ongoing mentorship, guidance, and support. Throughout your time with us, you’ll operate to the highest standards within an industry committed to safeguarding people, wildlife, and the natural environment—often in sensitive and challenging locations.

You’ll also gain the unique satisfaction of contributing to a sector that produces one of the world’s most carbon-friendly, renewable building materials. Every forest felled is replanted, ensuring the cycle—and the future—continues.

Working alongside colleagues who manage their areas with true autonomy, you’ll see first-hand how we build strong, professional relationships—whether with landowners, harvesting and haulage contractors, or partners across the supply chain.

Your placement will also help you develop a solid commercial understanding. You’ll earn how to offer clients the best possible service, explain options clearly, and understand the financial considerations behind different decisions—including negotiating prices with customers.

You’ll be involved in planning operations with forestry contractors, ensuring every site is approached safely, efficiently, and with environmental protection in mind. You’ll assist in scheduling, supply planning, and coordinating day-to-day activities. And don’t worry—you’ll be supported by an experienced, approachable team every step of the way.
