Seans’ interest in forestry began when working as a general forester whilst studying Engineering and Motorcycle Mechanics.  He went on to study forestry at Inverness and graduated with a BSc in Sustainable Forest Management & Conservation, where he gained experience in harvesting, woodland creation, stewardship, and forest management during placements.  Whilst undertaking his degree, Sean regularly worked part time as a chainsaw operator giving him a good insight into the practical elements of timber harvesting.

Sean joined Euroforest in 2014 as a trainee manager in South Scotland, progressing to area manager within two years and joining the team at the Stirling office.  He now operates as the area manager for West Argyll and the Isles where he is responsible for timber purchasing, both standing and roadside, and managing all aspects of worksite management from challenging timber harvesting sites to forest road construction and maintenance.

Sean continues to have a great personal interest in forestry and motorcycles and if you wish to contact Sean to discuss any aspects of timber harvesting within his area, please contact him on the details above.
