Euroforest building the road to success

Storm Arwen Timber Harvested in North East Scotland Arrives into Great Yarmouth

This impressive drone footage was recently captured of a vessel arriving at Great Yarmouth for delivery into Thomson’s Sawmill at Norwich. Thomson’s are a regular customer of Euroforest and were keen to explore the opportunities presented by Storm Arwen. The logs were harvested by Euroforest's Area Manager, Cameron Gillies, who remains exceptionally busy harvesting windblow timber as a result of Storm Arwen. The logs were shipped from Aberdeen, saving over 100,000 road miles!

On arrival at Great Yarmouth, the logs were unloaded by JST onto a fleet of lorries organised by Euroforest’s local Area Manager, Chris Pickup, and delivered to Thomson’s sawmill. Here they were cut into a range of sustainable timber products for the UK market.

If you have volumes of timber affected by last winter’s windblow, need a company who can provide harvesting and marketing solutions, or would like to speak to a member of the Euroforest team, please get in touch.
