Baltfor draws on the large volume of timber that is available in Estonia and the Baltics but not suitable for saw milling.

Offering this timber to the UK bioenergy market was the aim of founder and Managing Director Indrek Palumaa. Recently becoming an integral part of the Euroforest Group, Baltfor draws from both private sector and state forests, in long term arrangements. Currently most activity is focussed around the Port of Paldiski where storage facilities and ships can dock to be loaded for export.

With expansion planned to access resources across the wider region, using other ports, there are opportunities to utilise the extensive volumes of timber in Russia too.
