Client: True North
Sector: Fencing
Contract duration: 3 months
Euroforest undertook a substantial fencing project for True North, delivering a combination of deer fencing and stock fencing, alongside a range of access gates to support the site's management requirements.
The project involved installing more than 8 kilometres of fencing across the site, with careful consideration given to the landscape, ground conditions and the protection of existing archaeological features.
The project required a comprehensive fencing solution that balanced effective stock and deer management with the site's existing landscape and heritage features.
Gate locations, including pedestrian, vehicle and badger gates, were determined as part of the grant funding requirements. The installation also needed to accommodate archaeological features crossing the fence lines, ensuring these could be preserved without unnecessary disturbance.
Euroforest deployed a specialist fencing team supported by mechanised installation equipment, to carry out the installation over the three-month contract period.
The works included:
Where archaeological features crossed the proposed fence lines, the team could use railing techniques to bridge features such as historic stone walls, helping to protect them from disturbance while maintaining the fencing line.
The project delivered over 8 kilometres of new deer and stock fencing, together with a network of access points designed to meet the site's operational and management needs.
By carefully planning the fence layout, gate positions and installation methods, Euroforest delivered a practical fencing solution that considered both the site's requirements and the importance of protecting existing archaeological features.
