We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team in the Scottish Highlands. The role encompasses management of both harvesting sites and potentially other forest operations. We are looking for a self-motivated, professional individual who is capable of building relationships at all levels and efficiently managing work sites in an operational area.

· Organise the harvesting, marketing and sale of timber.
· Work closely with colleagues, clients and landowners.
· Potential for involvement with forest management, including ground preparation, planting and forest surveys, dependent on experience.
· Prepare costs and financial forecasts to support operational planning.
· Ensure the effective utilisation of resources.
· Supervise employees and contractors to achieve high standards of performance, safety and compliance.
· Ensuring compliance with company safety standards, environmental constraints and contract procedures in line with FISA and industry guidelines.
· Proven experience in timber harvesting
· Ability to work as part of a team and lead proactively
· Proven business acumen, and a desire to support business development
· Diligent and professional in your approach to work
· Strong stakeholder engagement skills
· Organisational, communication and planning skills
· Strong negotiation skills whilst providing quality customer service
· A demonstrable interest in forestry and the harvesting sector
· Proficiency with IT systems, with experience of Office 365 suite
· Full UK Drivers Licence and willingness to travel
