Bangor University Students Gain Insight into Sustainable Forestry at Glinger Estate with Euroforest Silviculture

Euroforest Silviculture recently hosted a field day at Glinger Estate, providing Bangor University students with an immersive experience in sustainable woodland management.

Led by John Lees from our team, the visit offered insights into the practical applications of forestry operations and the importance of proactive land stewardship.

During the visit, students observed ongoing harvesting operations, restocking efforts, new woodland creation schemes, and rhododendron control initiatives. These activities showcased the comprehensive approach Euroforest Silviculture takes to maintain and enhance woodland ecosystems.

The field day emphasised the value of hands-on learning and the role of sustainable practices in modern forestry. By engaging with future professionals in the field, Euroforest Silviculture reinforces its commitment to education and the development of responsible forestry practices.

By fostering connections between academia and industry, we aim to cultivate a new generation of foresters dedicated to sustainable land management.
