This ambitious project will span 300 hectares and aims to enhance biodiversity, providing a habitat for wildlife such as red squirrels, amphibians, and various bird species.
The project will also contribute to carbon sequestration efforts, aligning with broader sustainability goals. Sam Roberts, who is leading the initiative, emphasises the importance of combining ecological benefits with community engagement. The project will offer local resident’s access to five miles of walking and cycle paths.
With long term sustainable management in mind, Euroforest aims to create a resilient, biodiverse woodland that will provide both environmental and social benefits for generations to come.
