Groundswell 2025: Community, Collaboration & a Very Hot Setup Day

A sun-soaked start to two brilliant days of conversations, connections, and collaboration. From setting up the stand to welcoming visitors and taking part in meaningful discussions, the event was a fantastic opportunity to engage with both familiar faces and new ones, all united by a shared passion.

We arrived early on site at Groundswell 2025 to a clear blue sky and soaring temperatures, setup day hit 30°C, and it felt every bit of it. Despite the heat, our team got stuck straight in—mowing and prepping the Euroforest stand to ensure everything looked sharp and professional. In true Groundswell spirit, our team didn’t stop there. After sorting our pitch, we jumped in to help out our neighbours at the Agroforestry Tent, mowing their grass too and even passing the mower around to others setting up nearby.

This small act of shared effort set the tone for what Groundswell always delivers: a collaborative atmosphere where good ideas, hard work, and a passion for land use come together.

With the lawn trimmed, banners raised, and table set with information and examples of our work, the Euroforest tent was looking its best, ready to welcome visitors the next morning.

And what a welcome we recieved.

Over the course of two packed days, we were delighted to see a mix of new and familiar faces stopping by the Euroforest stand. From long-time industry colleagues to first-time attendees, it was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, answer questions, and have some genuinely insightful conversations about the future of forestry, sustainable land management, and our role within it.

One of the true highlights was a visit from Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh, who kindly took the time to stop by our stand. It was an absolute honour to speak with her and share a little bit about what we do at Euroforest, an unexpected moment that made the event all the more memorable.

As ever, a huge thank you goes to the entire Groundswell team for putting together such a well-run and welcoming event. From the moment we arrived to the final visitor leaving the site, it was clear how much care and effort had gone into creating an environment that fosters innovation, conversation, and collaboration.

We leave Groundswell 2025 feeling inspired, connected, and proud to be part of such a passionate and forward-thinking community.
