We are delighted to celebrate an outstanding achievement by one of our own. Steve McPhee, Timber Marketing Manager, has secured the overall victory at the East African Safari Rally in a Porsche 911, held in Kenya.
Steve competed as part of an amateur crew, navigating for driver Harry Hunt, and together they achieved something truly exceptional. The East African Safari Rally is an International-status event, widely regarded as one of the toughest historic rallies in the world and is rarely won by amateur crews.

Making the achievement even more remarkable, this victory marks the first time the event has ever been won by a debutant crew, underlining just how impressive the performance was against a highly experienced international field.
