Julian, a Bangor University graduate, started his career in forestry and landscape contracting in the West Country in 2001 for a rapidly expanding business specialising in commercial contracting, handling forestry, landscaping, and ground maintenance contracts across diverse sites, including military training areas, the aggregate & waste sectors and traditional forestry holdings. In 2011, he joined an ecological consultancy to manage their contracting operations, gaining expertise in protected species legislation, mitigation, large-scale flood alleviation and aquatic enhancement projects in urban settings.
Seeking a change in direction Julian joined Euroforest Silviculture in 2012 to focus on estate-based woodland management, initially in the Welsh Marches before moving back to the southwest in 2016. He manages the forest management team in southern England and key properties in Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset.
