Overview

Euroforest is the largest independent timber harvesting& marketing company in the UK.  We harvest and market in excess of 2.7 million m³ of timber per annum.  

Euroforest work closely with landowners to develop and demonstrate innovative ways of dealing with diseased Ash trees through traditional and mechanised arb methods. Euroforest provide landowners with appropriate resources to deal with diseased trees of all species, sizes and in any location. 

 

The Position

Our expanding Arb business means we have a vacancy for an Arboriculture Contract Manager reporting into the Oundle office in Peterborough, covering sites across the Leicester area and Central England in conjunction with the rest of the Arb Team.

Using mechanised and traditional arboriculture methods, we work with landowners to mitigate damage as a result of Ash Dieback.  Excellent knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments and tree safety are an essential part of this role.  

A company vehicle and fuel card are provided. The position is full time Monday to Friday.

 

Key Responsibilities

The day-to-day Arboriculture Contract Manager tasks include:

·        Identifying diseased trees and proposing action

·        Main point of contact for the client, direct staff, and subcontractors

·        Maintain prudent financial management over contracts

·        Ensure contracts progress on track and on budget

·        Undertake regular safety audits

·        Produce risk assessments and method statements

·        Regular performance updates

 

Skills and Experience

The desirable skills to deliver these key tasks are:

·    Minimum 2 years’ experience in arb, mechanised arb, forestry or commercial harvesting

·    Level 3 Arboriculture

·    Driving Licence

·    Excellent standards of health and safety

·    Up-to-date industry knowledge

·    A flexible and confident approach with good problem-solving skills and initiative

·    Excellent reporting skills

·    Good communication skills and the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders

·    Excellent IT Skills, especially Excel & Word
