Sam joined Euroforest in March 2019 as a Contracts Supervisor before gaining promotion to the role of Area Manager in August 2019.   Sam has considerable practical forestry skills having worked on chainsaws and driven forestry machines for 12 years before joining Euroforest.  His practical knowledge and his understanding of timber harvesting in the South meant he was soon promoted to area manager and now managers an area in the Southwest of England.

Sam was drawn to Euroforest as it allowed him to make use of his Post graduate degree in Forestry and allowed him to advance his career from practical forestry into management.   Euroforest is also one of the largest timber harvesting companies to operate in the Southwest and this further attracted him to start a career with Euroforest.

As area manager Sam purchases timber either standing or at roadside and manages the whole the process of a tree becoming timber products and ensuring their smooth transition from stump to sawmill.  Sam’s previous experience gives him a good understanding of the logistics associated with often small timber harvesting sites in the southwest with often difficult access and high public usage.

If you wish to contact Sam to discuss any aspects of timber harvesting within his area, please contact him on the details above.
